Customer Challenge

Modern HVAC equipment requires embedded controllers that become an integral part of the product rather than a collection of automation components installed inside a control cabinet.

In this project, the customer needed a controller that could be installed directly inside the unit, connect to sensors and actuators, support Modbus communication and remote monitoring, and be available in both 24 V DC and 230 V AC versions. Developing a completely new electronic platform would have significantly increased project costs and extended development time.

Our Solution

Instead of developing new hardware from scratch, akYtec built the solution on its proven PR103 controller platform.

The result was OVK-P, a dedicated embedded single-board controller specifically designed for the customer's application. The hardware architecture, I/O configuration and communication interfaces were adapted to the actual requirements of the HVAC equipment while preserving the familiar programming environment and software workflow.

This approach combined the reliability of a proven controller platform with hardware optimized for serial production.
